The Lamwell team assisted an international logistics company with the registration of a Ukrainian judgement for enforcement in the UK.
Following a dispute with another logistics company based in England, Lamwell’s Client obtained a judgement against the said company in the Commercial Court of Kyiv. However, as the defendant had no assets in Ukraine, the Client instructed us to assist with the recognition and enforcement of the judgement in the United Kingdom.
We made an application to the High Court of Justice in London for the registration of the judgement for enforcement. Our team represented the Client in the proceedings directly, without the involvement of UK based lawyers. The application was successful, and the High Court of Justice issued an order for registration of the judgement of the Commercial Court of Kyiv for enforcement in England and Wales.
